S.F.P.
It’s the shorthand my wife and I use when we have the same thought.
It means “Same Fine Person”, in much the same way that RTFM means “Read The Fine Manual”.
We use it a lot.
I’m reminded of this because I just went in to make an addition to our grocery list (We use a shared TadaList account, and I recommend it).
Amanda had tweeted earlier about the ridiculous assignment we received from Em’s daycare: bring plastic eggs with treats inside for all Em’s classmates.
Not ridiculous on its face, until you consider that every parent was told this.
That’s right. Instead of the daycare buying only as many eggs as needed and filling them with what they know to be safe treats, they’ve outsourced it to all the parents.
But I digress.
A while after reading her tweet, I thought I’d put a sarcastic entry regarding the situation on our grocery list, since she’s shopping after work today (if we needed groceries and I was the one working later, I’d be doing it and she’d be picking up Em).
I logged into TadaList, pulled up the grocery list, and there at the bottom was her most recent entry: “☐ fuggin easter thing for daycare”.
S.F.P.
So I added: “☐ peanuts (and they’ll never ask us again)”.
