The one thing glaringly wrong with the TiVo interface.

When my cable provider adds a channel to their lineup, TiVo adds it, too.

So far, so good.

The problem:

From the four menus deep settings screen where I can indicate whether or not I receive channels, I cannot see if there’s anything showing up on a channel.

And from Live TV, where I can see that a channel isn’t showing anything, I have no way of removing it.

So they accumulate until it becomes annoying enough for me to make a list, and every now and then TiVo records a suggestion that’s nothing but dead air.
