Like, I dunno, “Em’s been congested and coughing all morning”.
Because “she’s having problems breathing” tends to put a parent into “OMG WHY ARE YOU CALLING ME AND NOT 911 YOU NEED A BUS FORTHWITH SORRY I WATCH A LOT OF POLICE PROCEDURALS ARE YOU STILL TALKING TO ME IS SHE TURNING BLUE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY PLEASE CALL FOR PROFESSIONAL HELP RIGHT NOW” mode.
