Quite Possibly The Dumbest Computer Graphic Ever To Appear In A Major Network Drama

ABC’s FlashForward started off with some promise as a puzzle scifi ala Lost, but is rapidly becoming more entertaining as a complete train wreck of awkward exposition, predictable twists, and just plain stupidity.

Case in point: one FBI agent to another: “I need you to look up the worldwide crow population for, say, the last year”. Clickety-clack, she fills three fields in a form, is asked to wait, and one second later has the full screen display shown above. The misspelling of Audubon is bad enough, but the graph itself is a real gem. It would appear there’s been an explosion of the crow population earlier this year for the sole purpose of making its dramatic drop more dramatic. It’s hard to see behind the weather graphic, but it’s reassuring to see that the population is bouncing right back even though it’s nowhere near the breeding season.
