Note: If you listen carefully, you can hear some emotion behind the female anchor’s call to “look at your TV”. It’s clear from other portions of the coverage that her intent was for people to see it so they would take the road conditions seriously and stay home, not to promote their coverage.
Spring River Rescue In Ottawa County →
SUV went off bridge and into Spring River.
Six people now on roof of vehicle, two still inside. Emergency crews are apparently attempting to lower a rescue basket.
I hope we’re getting slow reports on this, because if we’re not these people have been exposed to ten below temperatures and high winds for two hours.
