It’s not about openness or lack of openness. People want the future. If that bit of the future is tagged as an open technology then it’s more serendipitous than the aesthetics of transparency.
We live in the future.
Also, butts. (giggle)
Are you saying we live in butts, or that we will in the future?
This happens far too often.
Someone posts a link to an article that sounds interesting to me.
I follow the link on my phone.
I see that I’m being redirected to the mobile version of the site (usually a newspaper).
Instead of seeing the article, I’m dumped unceremoniously on the mobile home page.
C’mon, people. This is easy to fix. It’s not like it’s the Traveling Salesman Problem.

Quick Note For Those Early LFLK Rebloggers
First: Thanks. You rock.
Second: Mr. Permenter wisely added emphasis to the text about using the provided link (which, parenthetically, is also the click through link on the image). I’ve edited the original post to match and suggest you do the same.
Third: Did I mention how much you rock?

The number of posts being created on Tumblr blows my mind. More than 800,000 yesterday!
That’s ten times as many as were on all of Tumblr when I joined.
A little over a month later, we all celebrated when the millionth post went up.
Here’s a little timeline I made for my 1000 Post Recap Extravaganza:

For no particular reason.

Yeah, I know it won the Best Picture Oscar but seriously, WTF, parents?
I’ll see your Deer Hunter at nine WTF, and raise you a Zardoz at ten WTF.

That’s not geeky or anything, is it?
P.S. I also composed this post in my iPhone web app, because the auto-saving textbox means I don’t have to worry about losing everything if I switch to another page and cause a reload when I return.

It was all just so confusing! I *deserve* to own a home, no matter how little I make or how little I save. THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO HELP ME!
