"Popular Stuff" is not "Favrd for Tumblr"
It’s just Radar (which you’ll notice is no longer on the Explore menu) in Dashboard format.
I’m sure items still go through the automatic queue plus moderation process to get there.
Damned Effective Marketing
I’m not sure I even noticed how many times it was repeated in the commercials at first. I know I didn’t think of it as a tag line. Yet now I find that it’s the precise phrase I not only say to others, but think to myself.
There’s an app for that.

A specific type of deadlock, I think deadly embrace is my favorite name for a system pathology.
I was just forced to listen politely while someone misexplained it on a call, so I’m posting this link in hopes that I might spare someone else the same fate.

In the announcement of Tumblr’s latest addition to staff, topherchris says he joined Tumblr 2/28/2007, a week after it launched.
Since my first post was March 7, 2007 that puts me joining within the first fortnight. No wonder I feel like I’ve always been here. I pretty much have, at least as long as there’s been a here.
Edit: Found my welcome email. I joined 3/3/2007
