Firefox: Mac PPC Optimized Builds →
Ben tumbled about the Intel builds, but the G4 build is pretty sweet. I really push Firefox pretty hard (lots of extensions, tabs, AJAX-y web apps) on a regular basis, and consequently peg my 1.67GHz G4. So far the PPC build seems to take it a little easier on the processor. Renders, scrolling, and tab switches are noticeably faster.

I’ve been holding off mostly to see what the performance reports on similar laptops would be, but now I see that a few PB G4 users are getting bricked by upgrades. So far only 15” models are mentioned, though.
